Why NOT
ISRAEL??
Politically and
historically, Pakistan & Israel; both states were established on their
ideological declarations:
Two-Nation
Theory and
Homeland for the
Jewish people
Most of us don’t know that
soon after independence of Pakistan, Israel’s
first Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion formally contacted
Mohammad Ali Jinnah through a telegram, But Jinnah refused it in hard words.
Since on various stages, recognition of Israel either directly or indirectly is
being discussed on various occasions. Even in 1948, current Morocco style trade
office was tried to setup in Karachi but again unfortunately it couldn’t be
done. Large number of Jews were residing in Karachi & Peshawar before
independence but gradually it decreases and now not even a single Jew is
residing here.
A meeting took place in New
York between Zafrullah Khan and Abba Eban, then Israel's ambassador to the
United States, on 14 January 1953 to discuss Israeli–Pakistani relations.
But unfortunately he couldn’t take hard decisions at the moment because of Gulf
countries pressure or LOVE for Muslim world.
Liaquat Ali Khan was about
to join hand with Russia as they offered them 100% literacy and employment in
few years, but unfortunately he was shot dead soon after his meetings with
Russian (Soviet Union) officials. Same goes here, not recognizing Israel is a
mistake. I still can’t understand why Islamist are scared of Jews? They are the
one who follows Moosa (A.S). Mullahs are ok with USA or China but not with
Israel? Why? This is a questions which is yet unanswered & I think will
remain unanswered as our leaders are pretty scared of our Local Mullahs. They
even can lift ban from Youtube, this shows there incompetency.
Discussing Hudood Law, Blasphemy
Law, Recognizing Israel are one which you can’t discuss in Pakistan directly or
indirectly else Extremists or Thaikidar of our Religion will kill you after
Tagging YAHODI-AGENT.
Land of Israel is sacred for
Muslims, Christians & Jews equally. Even If I get a chance to visit
Jerusalem & Tel-Aviv, I would love to Travel. But unfortunately my Passport
won’t allow me to travel. Egypt, Jordan, Turkey & Palestine are the
countries who have recognized Israel & in Good terms with them. Why not
rest Muslim world?
At least we can initiate
Morocco type relationships with Israel. This will help us in making ourselves
strong in United Nations as well our International standings. Strategic help
& military help which already Israel providing to India can be provided to
Pakistan as well. But without recognizing it, it’s impossible. We are just a
Muslim state by name. none of the Islamic laws are being implemented here
except for the few then why not Israel?
From few sources, following materials
was found which shows how & when Pakistan & Israel officials tried to
contact each other or people have soft corner for each other.
Diplomatic:
Some Israeli leaders believe that should diplomatic relations with
Pakistan be established then Pakistan could serve as a bridge between Israel
and the Muslim world, including Arab countries. Although the
governments of Israel and Pakistan do not officially have relations with each
other, there have been a number of contacts between the two states. According
to the Jang news, there continue to be multiple media reports that in the past
many powerful Pakistani personalities and figures have
visited Israel. Former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf has openly spoke for the diplomatic relations with Israel. He is the first Pakistani Muslim diplomat to give interview to Haaretz. In London, he was interviewed by Danna Harman.
Military ties:
Britain's Department
for Business, Innovation and Skills revealed in 2013 that Israel had exported military
technology to Pakistan. In 2011, Israel sought to purchase from Britain
equipment that would then be exported to Pakistan. These included electronic
warfare systems and aircraft parts. Israel denied the report and Pakistan
called the revelations "misleading."
Sporting ties:
A team or a person officially representing Pakistan has never
played an Israeli. During the 2002 Wimbledon Open,
Israeli tennis player Amir
Hadad teamed up with
Pakistani tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi to play in the 3rd round doubles. The Israeli and Pakistani
teams, with their pairing of an Israeli and a Pakistani, made headline news.
Dan Kiesel,
an Israeli-born German, served as the Pakistan cricket team's trainer and physiotherapist and lived in Lahore.
Zionism:
Former Foreign Minister of Pakistan Khurshid Kasuri supported ties between Pakistan and
Israel. Tashbih Sayyed was a well-known Pakistani-born American
who openly expressed his support of Israel in many of his columns and writings
throughout his journalistic career.
Media:
Pakistan's Express Tribune newspaper has praised Israel on numerous occasions. Most
commentators on the newspaper website have also displayed pro-Israel sentiment.
