Asian Union

ASIAN UNION

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political union of 27 member states which are located primarily in Europe. The European Union is composed of 27 sovereign member states: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Above treaty was signed in 1958 and since, these countries are together for progress and betterment of their people. But what’s happening in South Asia? After 1947 Partition, we have divided everything. It was a division of land but we make it division of people, Division of assets, division of blood, Division of everything. I am not against the partition, but whatever happened after it and happening still, I am against it. Separation must be the need of that time, but no one wants these barriers.

I am the one who always favors UNITED ASIA, just like Europe Union. Asian’s can also have Union. Just in South of Asia, two major Nuclear Powers exists i.e. India & Pakistan. One of the biggest film industries is entertaining people by the name of Bollywood in India. Biggest jute producer is there i.e. Bangladesh. Biggest Rice, Cotton, Tea, man power, zinc, copper, spices, Marble, what else? Everything is available in ASIA! Then why we are most back warded nations? Why we are not spending our budgets on Education, Health and on betterment of our people? Why we are spending majority of our money on defense?
During South Asian Youth Conference 2012 (SAYC2012), I met many Indians, Nepalese, Bhutanese, Srilankans, Indians, and Afghanis etc. After meeting them, I come to conclusion that we all are same. Our looks, sense of humor, our thinking, styles, jokes, even our Slangs are same as well. Many Nepalese asks me either I am from Nepal. Some of them thought that I might be an Indian belongs from Delhi or Mumbai. This is just because we all look same.

I am also representing Youth Foundation Nepal YFN in Pakistan, an organization working for betterment of Youth & Peace. Since I joined it, I got a brother in Nepal named Sunil, who is 2 years younger than me. Even we don’t belong from same religion but our views bring us on same page. Just like Sunil I do have many Nepalese friend including Karuna, Monika, Ankit (Best singer), Bandita, Aditi, Ranjan, and many more. Not only with Nepal, But Indians, Afghanis, Srilankan’s & rest South Asian youth are on same page. During whole conference I have met amazing people who were working for betterment of local people, but all of us worried for bi-literal relationships. Hardik, who belongs from India, was one of those who really don’t know about Pakistan. But once he visited, his views have been changed for Pakistan & its natives. Sajith who belongs from Srilanka, was perplex to found such hospitality & love from Pakistan. According to him, he left for his country with many unforgettable memories. Karuna, a Nepali girl was having many reservations when she was coming for SAYC2012, but as she arrived, her views totally changed. She started loving Pakistan & their natives. Akshat, Abhishek, Priya, Rizwan, Vikas, Divya, Anurag, Saurabh & many other delegates wish to come back, as they had one of the best times of their life in Islamabad. They have realized that what western media is portraying is not exactly Pakistan is. Pakistan is as peaceful as their own country is.

I wish in near future, there will be no Visa issue for all Asians, Same Currency & there will be no war in this region. I think this is the high & Right time to stand United. I can guarantee on it if once South Asia is united, they can compete rest of the continents. During conference, All South Asians youth were having concerns on Visa issues. Once these so called barriers devour, I believe this continent will become one of the fastest progressing continent and become rich from every aspect.

SAYC 2012 – Train Journey

SAYC 2012 – Train Journey (From Karachi – Lahore –Islamabad)

Our journey for SAYC2012 started on 2nd November 2012, 6:00am in the morning. It was my first train journey, I was bit excited and confused as well because I wasn’t sure either we will reached Lahore on time or will arrive Lahore on Closing Ceremony. I was accompanied by Faizan Lakhani (CAPTAIN), Rabeeya Siddiqui (Senior Citizen), Alize Rizvi (Bawli), Anas Malick (HOT BLOOD), Imran Taighoon & Zara Ali (ZINDA LAASHIEN), Priyanka (Sweetey) & Alize’s Mother & Brother (Sajid). Osama Motiwala & Bushra were in Lahore and waiting for us to join our caravan to Islamabad via Daewoo. Whereas, Waiza Zainab, Sara Muzammil, Adil Siddiqui (AUR-ADIL), Shiraz Hassan (PINDI BOI) & Ahsan Saeed (TWITTER TRENDER) were suppose to join us directly in Islamabad.

My parent’s dropped me to Cant station at 5:45, where everyone was present except Priyanka. Anas, as usual was calling Priyanka again and again & asking for the exact location. After 5 minutes we planned to check in as according to sources, Train was on time. Luckily Priyanka arrived just 5 minutes before. We seated ourselves and distributed our seats & berths in to two, one is pure MARDANA (Male) & and one into ZANANA (FEMALE). 6:00am sharp train left for Lahore, I was bit surprised to see the private management of Shalimar Express is really good and trying their best to make sure that trains are arriving and leaving on time. Our journey was of 18 hours. I was sitting on my berth found a guy (named Rohail) moving here and there in tension. He came back, put his bag on top berth and slept for 8 hours. Same happened with Zara & Imran. I was feeling like I am surrounded by ZINDA LASHIEN. We all were trying to enjoy our journey but these Zinda LASHIEN were sleeping.

Our first stop was Hyderabad where we stop for minutes hardly. Then our next destination was Rohri Station. We all were hungry as well, as we didn't have breakfast and nothing was available in Train. I just got 2 LAYS chips packets and we were done with it in an hour. After a long journey (it was 2:30pm), we reached Rohri station. Most of our girls were sleeping at that time. Suddenly Anas got an idea, and wake all girls up and said, we are at Rohri station and here we have Gloria Jeans, let’s have a coffee and something to eat. Alize, Zara & Rabeeya got excited to hear about Gloria Jeans. They manage to come down from berth and came out of train. All three were finding Gloria Jeans on ROHRI junction. After few minutes, Alize came to me and asked, Qaiser, Where is Gloria Jeans? This innocent question makes me laugh like hell. After a while they have realized that they have to purchase something from those DHABA’s which we were calling GLORIA JEANS. We stayed there for half an hour; purchase some BUN-KABAB’s and cold drinks for our rest journey.

Till Lahore, Alize was the one who was providing us ENTERTAINMENT through her INNOCENT Quotes ! While journey, Alize’s father calls her and asks:

LARKI, CHA HAAL AHYE

Alize responded:

HAYE, Mai to Mahajir Aba chor k gaye thi, Ye Sindhi kaisay hogaye!

Wazzup QAISER is a trademark by Alize, all who were travelling with us in Train and Daewoo, must know my name, All credit goes to her!

Rohail was finally up, and was discussing Football, Cards & Lums adventure society with his fellow from lums. There were about 5 or 6 guys travelling with us from Karachi to Lahore & all belong from LUMS. After meeting them, I can admit that LUMS guys are really Nerdy. Like all of them were even studying in train as well! Interesting part was one when Rohail was letting his friend know about his travelling experience, which was pretty ADULT, and both of them were discussing in code words. BUT as Me & Faizan both are KARACHITES and know all Adult terminologies of Karachites so both of us get it. Once he done with it I let know Rohail that I am going to write 2 blogs, one will be bit serious, and another one will be about all stuff happens with us & conversation which were off the record. So on that BLOG I AM going to add this MARDANA TALKS as well. Rohail & his friend were bit surprised that how I get his chat as both of them were talking in code words, but in second minute he realizes that KARACHI WALAY KARACHI WALAY he HOTAY HAI J

Zara was lying on top berth, and exactly at opposite side Imran was sleeping. According to us, BOTH ZINDA LASHIEN are neighbors. It was 2:00am, we all were sitting on lower berth and playing PARCHI PARCHI (Worst game but it was really good for killing time) a sweater sleeve was constantly interrupting us. It was none other than Zara who was done with her sleep and now she was awake to disturb us.
Worst Scene which took place on our Faislabad Stop where all of us want to use Toilet and none of us has such courage to do so. Sajid, Alize, Rabeeya & Priyanka, Anas Along with me decided to check it as our tolerance level was about end. I was heading all towards washroom. First I checked out washroom with WC. I open the door and close it immediately as I can’t condone the SMELL of that Washroom. Then I went to the washroom with commode.  It was comparatively better. But I forced Rabeeya to go to the washroom with WC. She went inside, and within 2 minutes, she came out of washroom. According to her she was not able to breathe inside and she has decided not to use Washroom at any cost. Then I took my team to the washroom with commode. It was better as 95% of Pakistanis are not using commode system. So luckily all of us use that washroom. At the end Rabeeya realizes that like GLORIA JEANS at ROHRI STATION, it was another JOKE by us. During our whole trip, she was cursing me; whenever she calls her train’s washroom memories.

We reached Lahore early in the morning; Osama MOTIWALA (one of the famous personalities during SAYC2012) was there to pick us up from station. My journey from Karachi to Lahore was one of the memorable journeys. I really had a quality time specially my train journey.
