Above treaty was signed in 1958 and since, these countries are together for progress and betterment of their people. But what’s happening in South Asia? After 1947 Partition, we have divided everything. It was a division of land but we make it division of people, Division of assets, division of blood, Division of everything. I am not against the partition, but whatever happened after it and happening still, I am against it. Separation must be the need of that time, but no one wants these barriers.
I am the one who always favors UNITED ASIA, just like Europe Union. Asian’s can also have Union. Just in South of Asia, two major Nuclear Powers exists i.e. India & Pakistan. One of the biggest film industries is entertaining people by the name of Bollywood in India. Biggest jute producer is there i.e. Bangladesh. Biggest Rice, Cotton, Tea, man power, zinc, copper, spices, Marble, what else? Everything is available in ASIA! Then why we are most back warded nations? Why we are not spending our budgets on Education, Health and on betterment of our people? Why we are spending majority of our money on defense?
During South Asian Youth Conference 2012 (SAYC2012), I met many Indians, Nepalese, Bhutanese, Srilankans, Indians, and Afghanis etc. After meeting them, I come to conclusion that we all are same. Our looks, sense of humor, our thinking, styles, jokes, even our Slangs are same as well. Many Nepalese asks me either I am from Nepal. Some of them thought that I might be an Indian belongs from Delhi or Mumbai. This is just because we all look same.
I am also representing Youth Foundation Nepal YFN in Pakistan, an organization working for betterment of Youth & Peace. Since I joined it, I got a brother in Nepal named Sunil, who is 2 years younger than me. Even we don’t belong from same religion but our views bring us on same page. Just like Sunil I do have many Nepalese friend including Karuna, Monika, Ankit (Best singer), Bandita, Aditi, Ranjan, and many more. Not only with Nepal, But Indians, Afghanis, Srilankan’s & rest South Asian youth are on same page. During whole conference I have met amazing people who were working for betterment of local people, but all of us worried for bi-literal relationships. Hardik, who belongs from India, was one of those who really don’t know about Pakistan. But once he visited, his views have been changed for Pakistan & its natives. Sajith who belongs from Srilanka, was perplex to found such hospitality & love from Pakistan. According to him, he left for his country with many unforgettable memories. Karuna, a Nepali girl was having many reservations when she was coming for SAYC2012, but as she arrived, her views totally changed. She started loving Pakistan & their natives. Akshat, Abhishek, Priya, Rizwan, Vikas, Divya, Anurag, Saurabh & many other delegates wish to come back, as they had one of the best times of their life in Islamabad. They have realized that what western media is portraying is not exactly Pakistan is. Pakistan is as peaceful as their own country is.
I wish in near future, there will be no Visa issue for all Asians, Same Currency & there will be no war in this region. I think this is the high & Right time to stand United. I can guarantee on it if once South Asia is united, they can compete rest of the continents. During conference, All South Asians youth were having concerns on Visa issues. Once these so called barriers devour, I believe this continent will become one of the fastest progressing continent and become rich from every aspect.
